Dear Jo,
We're hoping to get over to see you in person some time this week, but I didn't want the day to pass without saying a huge thank you for Saturday. The room looked stunning, the food wonderful and the service excellent. I wish the chef could have been in the room to hear all the lovely comments being made. Please pass on our thanks to all your staff who worked so hard on what must have been a long day. The whole day was wonderful and we do thank you all at your end for your part in it.

The Chequers was the perfect venue and we can't thank you enough for all the hard work you put into our big day. It was so lovely to have a co-ordinator who worked around our vision for our day instead of focusing on packages and nothing ever seemed like too much trouble for you. The food was wonderful, I have had so many comments from guests about how good it was and many people who have said it was by far the best food they have ever had at a wedding. At The Chequers we offer intimate, tailor made wedding celebrations in the rural yet contemporary environment of a 17th century country inn. Nestled in the Vale of Belvoir Castle with stunning views of surrounding countryside, The Chequers offers you a wedding to remember - great food, a fabulous venue and the most attentive service.

Here wedding packages are a thing of the past. Your day is exactly how you want it to be - from the reception drink... to the food... to the wines... your day, your choice.

The Chequers accommodates wedding parties of 2 to 250. Our contemporary restaurant caters for up to 85 guest sitting down. This is a great room with it's own cocktail bar and French windows opening up onto our pretty summer garden - perfect for waitress served reception drinks and canapes. Other areas suit smaller, intimate gatherings. We also have marquee facilities with views onto the Belvoir Estate.

In the evening, the restaurant becomes a venue for a band or disco and your evening reception. Choose from buffet menus or our hugely popular BBQ's in the candlelit garden.
